In the past, making bales with only plastic bottles was a challenge. Bale densities would decrease if the channel was filled with bottle-only bales, so operators would need to alternate the plastic with other materials like paper and cardboard to optimize truck loading.
Those days are over. With the XL channel developed by Kadant PAAL for 100% plastic applications, it is now possible to obtain the same performance with an XL channel filled with all-plastic as a standard channel with alternating materials.
For MRFs, the XL channel also eliminates the need for a perforator. This provides a meaningful improvement in baler capacity as well as maintenance cost savings.
Whether you need to make bales that are compatible with incineration processes for SRF/RDF, or you prefer to use plastic wire instead of steel wire for safety or environmental reasons, we have a solution for what you need.
Remote SMART Baling is an automated bale management system. In conjunction with the sorting center, the baler automatically adjusts the settings to compact the material to be baled. There is no longer any need for an operator dedicated to material selection and baling management. This allows the forklift operator to concentrate on bale storage or dispatch while the baling press compacts the material into consistently uniform bales.
AI SMART Baling is an automated bale management system based on video analysis of the material.
The artificial intelligence algorithm recognises the type of material being fed from the conveyor to the baler. The baler can then adjust its settings to compact the material. The operator no longer needs to get off the machine to change the recipe or to tie the last bale. Everything is managed automatically by the AI.
